Who we are

Mauritius Relo is the data controller for the personal data you share with us through this site. We are part of the Mauritius relocation ecosystem alongside Property Finder Mauritius, Mauritius Life and Move to Mauritius. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@mauritiusrelo.com.

What we collect

  • Details you enter in our forms: your name, email and the information you choose to share so we can send what you asked for.
  • Inputs to our free tools, such as nationality, income range or household size. These generate your on-screen result and are not sold or tied to your identity.
  • If you tick the newsletter box, your consent to receive our emails.
  • Aggregated, anonymised analytics about how the site is used.

How we use it, and our legal basis

  • To answer your request and provide the guidance, guide or tool result you asked for. Legal basis: taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in helping you.
  • To send you our newsletter and occasional updates, only if you opted in. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Marketing and your choices

Marketing consent is always separate and optional. We never add you to our newsletter just because you used a tool or requested a guide. Every marketing email includes a one click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@mauritiusrelo.com.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, ever. When you ask us to, we may pass your enquiry to the right sister site in our ecosystem, such as Property Finder Mauritius, so they can help you. We also use trusted service providers, such as our email delivery provider and website analytics, who act only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as needed to help you and to meet our legal obligations. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we act on that promptly.

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy friendly, aggregated analytics to understand how the site is used. These do not identify you personally. You can block cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.

Your rights

Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@mauritiusrelo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
